In a week where we lost many amazing artists, Tim Curry’s passing hit me deep in my soul. Tim Curry’s performance as Doctor Frank-N-Furter was an awakening for me and my peers in our early teens at the Nuart Theater’s weekly midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Frank was an unapologetically queer, sexy weirdo (and a psycho) with a perfect voice and knock out gams that made it all ok to not just dream it but be it. Tim Curry had many amazing performances, on screen and stage, but for me Frank was everything. RIP.
