A woman’s head rests on a plate, confronting the viewer with a gaze that is both vulnerable and assertive. Strange plants—including one with a phallic form—hint at the intrusive presence of patriarchal power. Beside her, a wine glass filled with eggs blends domesticity and fertility, presenting reproductive potential as delicate and consumable. The surreal arrangement destabilizes traditional notions of femininity and objectification. Drawing on feminist thought, the painting questions how identity, desire, and reproduction are constructed, performed, and scrutinized. Humor, absurdity, and discomfort collide, inviting viewers to consider the tension among agency, vulnerability, and societal expectations.
