“Do Your Own Dishes” illustrates my frustrations with our society reverting back to the past. 60 years of progress in expanding our rights as women is being stripped away by our current government. This piece represents how we will not idly stand by and let society control our lives again. Women are not confined to just being house wives chained to the kitchen. Our bodies, our lives deserve freedom and recognition, its basic human rights. As women we refuse to move backward ever again.
