In this work, I wanted to explore and comment on the recurring objectification of the feminine body. I criticize the illusion of the female body being some delicate “thing.” The combined image of a vuvla and flower in my painting is anything but delicate. My fragmented figure uses spikes to regain their autonomy, even in their objectified state.
