The infant/ child is still inside myself and she balances her needs and wishes with the demands of the world she was born into. The child will never entirely grow up-she is selfish, playful, and willful and sometimes disguises the true intent of decisions even from herself. The child must make its way in the world and strive to reconcile external reality with innate impulses.
