I create art to convey personal stories through a hidden display. While some of my pieces are quite intense and emotional, i keep secrecy to the origin of the story I am portraying. I gravitate toward representational and fantastical pieces, as meshing the 2 styles together can create interesting narratives. Art should make you feel something, (whether that is surface or deep level is up to the artist or viewer themselves).

I particularly am drawn to portraying red foxes in my work. I see them in a way that relates both to myself but also at a distance. Their playfulness, protectiveness, and even hostility are interesting dynamics I incorporate into the narrative. I include other animal iconography such as Deer, snakes and rams. Animals carry more emotional weight to me as an artist and I am able to convey feelings through them.

My current work has no set direction, as I am experimenting with different techniques/ mediums. My paintings are made out of bursts of creative energy and passion, painted extremely fast and with a lot of gesture to amplify certain characters and feelings. I have a love for multimedia in my work in the way it combines medium textures and pigmentation in different ways. Using this difference in texture and pigment can help emphasize the smaller nuances of the idea I portray. The media I am most attracted to are pen and paper,, clay statues and oil painting. While i do work with other mediums for specific pieces, these are my initial choices.
