My Mom and I at Rankin Ranch, one of the first 'dude ranches' in the 1960's. We were summer visitors every year since I was around 3 years old. I loved it. The smell of dry grasses, the horses, the beauty of the landscape, it was one of the best things about my childhood. Rankin Ranch remains a dreamy spot outside of Caliente, California.
