Piss Girl uses a screenshot of the Lena Dunham HBO show Girls as its starting point. I wanted to show the contrast between the human, fleshy body of the girl and the cold, inhuman world around her. In her world she pees with abandon, distracted and unconscious of the meeting between the bodily and the societal, which is represented by the rushing of a police car behind her. Though her form is marred by a smear of paint, her face remains clear and her gaze opaque.
