What I like about piss bottles is that the most ephemeral part of someone is being forced into a seemingly indelible material/vessel. Plastic does not last forever, though it may last a long time, it too eventually degrades and 'disappears.' For me, a piss bottle also becomes an analog for myself as a human, who, filled with liquid, seeks to last for as long as possible, only to one day degrade and disappear. In recent years I've learned that I am full of plastics. And now when I see a bottle of piss I get to think of this plastic as being full of me, or full of someone, and consider it a formal blending of our respective forms and intimate proximity.
